DO FAIRYTALES REALLY COME TRUE?
From the award-winning film crew who brought
you
AMERICAN WAITRESS comes a documentary film that
follows
individuals in Santa Fe, New Mexico who are highly
educated,
creative and recognized in their fields but still find
it
necessary to work jobs outside their chosen careers.
They
are your cleaning ladies, waitresses, bartenders,
shopkeepers and even adult entertainers. But in
reality…
they are so much more! Whether in a ball-gown
dancing
at the ball or in rags cleaning the cinders, how do
they
view themselves? And how are they viewed by the
public-at-large?
Jenny, an aspiring and acclaimed actress, works in a
delicatessen. Rachel, a talented bellydancer, caters to make
ends meet. Kyoko writes poetry when not teaching Japanese
or
working in her son’s daycare center. Susan, a visual
artist with exhibits in large museums, works four jobs just
to make ends meet. And the list goes on…
